When will First State Bank officially become Community National Bank & Trust?
We are excited to announce that First State Bank of Mineral Wells, Possum Kingdom and Weatherford will be a part of the Community National Bank & Trust of Texas family as of July 15, 2013. Community National is a strong, customer-driven community bank based in Corsicana with additional branches in Red Oak, Fairfield, Frost, Buffalo and Richland Chambers. Will the bank locations in Mineral Wells, Possum Kingdom and Weatherford remain the same? What about the staff?

Will the same services be available at Community National?

Will the types of accounts I have at First State be offered at Community National?
We are restructuring our checking accounts and fee schedules effective July 15, 2013, but not to worry-for every type of First State Bank account, there is an alternative account at Community National. And your enrollment will be automatic. Once that conversion has taken place, you are free to visit with your New Accounts representative and peruse other options.
Will I need to get new checks immediately?
For the majority of First State Bank customers, your First State Bank checks will continue to be accepted indefinitely. (We will notify you if a change is necessary.) When re-ordered, your new checks will have the Community National logo and your new Community Bank account routing number. It's easy to order checks online with our link to

When will I start receiving my new checking/savings account statements?
All customers will receive a final bank statement from First State Bank as of Friday, July 12, 2013. Community National statements will begin cycling the last week of July.
Will the terms of my existing Certificate of Deposit change on July 15th?
No. Certificate of Deposit accounts will be transferred based on the terms granted to you by First State Bank, including your current interest rate. At maturity, any automatically renewable certificates will be renewed based on the rate sheet in effect for Community National at the time of renewal.
What are Community National's overdraft practices?
At the bank's discretion, we may charge your account for a check that exceeds the available account balance, but we are not obligated to do so. Visit our Rates & Fees schedule on this site. We do not authorize and pay overdrafts for ATM and everyday debit card transactions under any circumstances; these will be declined at the terminal.
What will I need to do about my current direct deposits or automatic debits?
For the majority of First State Bank customers, no changes are necessary for direct deposits or other ACH transactions to continue. (We will notify you if a change is necessary.) How will I access telephone banking?
The telephone banking account information system known as "First Tel" will change on Monday, July 15th. Simply dial 1-855-MYBNKTX (1-855-692-6589) and follow instructions to login. A recording will be placed on the First State Bank system with the new number as well. We hope you'll enjoy all the benefits of

Will I receive a new debit card?
If you currently have a First State Bank debit card, you will receive your new CNB&T debit card in the mail before July 15. A separate letter will be mailed to you with your new personal identification number (PIN), which can be changed as you desire.
Will I notice any transition in converting to my new debit card?
Your First State Bank debit card will cease to function on Friday, July 12. Your new debit card can be activated at any point after you receive it in the mail; however, the conversion process may delay its going into effect. We strongly recommend that you plan for limited use of your debit card the weekend of July 12 - 14.
What about my recurring debit card payments?
Those transactions will not be "known" to your new debit card. If your current debit card authorizes recurring payments, contact those vendors with your new Community National debit card number.
Is there a charge for using my debit card?
We will never charge you a fee for transactions using your MasterCard ATM/Debit Card, but certain ATM operators may charge their own fee for cash withdrawals. If there is a 60-day period of inactivity, you will charged $5.00. If you lose your debit card, there is a $10 fee for replacing it.
Can I overdraw my account using my debit card?
No. To protect your balances and avoid overdraft fees, card transactions will be declined at the terminal if there are not sufficient funds in the account to make the purchase or cash withdrawal.
How will I access my online account?
On Monday, July 15, you may simply come to this site (see below) where you will find step-by-step instructions to sign up for online banking and bill pay at CNB&T. If you are a current online banking customer with First State Bank you will need to re-enroll to get a new username and password, and to enable mobile banking and eStatements.
Can I enroll before July 15?
In order for a clean transfer of data to occur, you must wait until Monday, July 15. Personal account customers will find it quick to complete our
short enrollment form. To enroll a commercial account, you'll spend a few minutes here. The secure process for commercial accounts could take 24 to 48 hours. Notification of live status will be made to you via email or phone call.
Will there be any interruption in my online service?
After 2 p.m. on Friday, July 12, First State Bank's online banking website will move to "Inquiry Only" status, meaning you will only be able to see your account information, not perform any transactions over that weekend. Your new online account will go into transaction mode as soon as you enroll in CNB&T's online system (anytime beginning Monday, July 15), and after your account is verified and you've received by email a temporary password, which you can then change as you wish. Your online account history will become available within the first few weeks after the conversion.
How secure is this transfer of my online banking account information?
All of the information you provide in your CNB&T enrollment form must match the original info you provided when enrolling with First State Bank online banking. If your information is a match, you will be sent a password by email. If it does not match, you will be prompted to complete an additional information form. This form will be sent to eBanking via secure message and eBanking will finish the enrollment process.
What should I do to prepare for the online account change?
It is a good idea to print a hard copy of your account history and bill payee information through your First State Bank online banking account before July 12.
Will I need to re-input all my bill pay information?
No, you will not! Rest assured that your regular bill payees will all convert and remain in your account without disruption.
What do I need to do in order to continue receiving eStatements?
You will first need to enroll in Online Banking with Community National as described here. Once enrolled and then on your Online Account page, select the tab marked "Statement Delivery" and opt in there for eStatements.
What are the advantages of online banking?
With online banking, you will be able to check your balance, transfer funds, pay bills and even receive your monthly statement, all electronically. Whether your enrollment is personal or commercial, you'll find our online banking easy to use and secure, and you'll save money on postage.
How can I download Community National's mobile banking app?
As soon as you have enrolled as a CNB&T online customer, you are ready to register for My Bank TX Mobile Banking.

Is My Bank TX Mobile Banking safe?
Your customer information will not be stored on your mobile device...ever. You can view real-time account history 24/7, initiate and approve funds transfers, send and receive secure messages and much more-all with the assurance that your financial information is protected from unauthorized access through the use of authentication features, session timeouts and automatic log-offs. Commercial accounts also have extra capabilities to confirm or cancel ACH or wire transfers that require dual approval.
Will I continue to make payments in the same way?
Yes, you should experience no changes in how payments are made, whether at your bank's location or online.
